Candles With Mac And Cheese

Two candles leftover from a banquet, not big enough to save for next year but too big to just throw away. A can of Manwich and a box of Kraft macaroni and cheese served on plastic kid plates. Strawberry milk in Tupperware cups. Three kids that want to blow out the candles.

Two phrases that gifted my heart -
“Mommy, this is good.” ”The candles make it feel like a birthday!”

Love this. We so often forget the little things that we can do to make memories with our kids. Sometimes I spend too much time trying to accomplish big projects when I should get out some candles and fix them their favorite mac and cheese. Thanks Jendi!

  3. Love that! That reminds me of the simple lunches I would fix for the boys and myself out on the deck during summer breaks. They loved them!

It’s the little things, isn’t it? I did the whole candle thing at dinner recently and it changed the whole atmosphere at dinner. So intimate, so special…

I just happened upon your blog and I really enjoy it so far!
