I enjoy participating in Emily’s Tuesdays Unwrapped, but wondered what on earth could I say this week? It’s easy to talk about beautiful things when life is going good.
It’s not so easy when my husband has had an injury for two weeks. Even though he’s not supposed to work he tries to go every day then works at remodeling our old house so it’s handicap accessible. It’s rough on him to not have the full use of his right arm. It’s rough on me to see how rough it is for him. It’s rough on all of us.
It’s not easy to find the joy when I’m juggling homeschool, online work, work for church, virtual assistant work as well as laundry, dishes, and my house has not been dusted in a very long time. Yes, I know that’s not good grammar, but I don’t care. It’s not as fun to type without use of all my fingers.
It’s been a chaotic time for us lately. There’s been stress, injuries, deadlines, and life in general has been just…chaotic.
I found a good sale on flowers at Lowe’s. [Bear with me, I do have a point.] I can look at it as other things to do -
- plant the flowers,
- water the flowers,
- weed around the flowers,
- get mulch for the flowers, etc.
Or I can look at it as:
- fresh air,
- sunshine,
- time with my kids,
- and beauty.
I can look at it as a reminder that:
“Little flowers never worry when the winds begin to blow… if it never, never rained. Then they’d never, never grow.”
