I thank Thee for this day,
Its joys, its cares that come my way.
Help me to live it as I should,
The challenge to true motherhood.
A sacred trust Thou gavest me;
May I in turn give back to Thee
Lives that are worthy of thy love.
Pray, give me guidance from above.
Somewhere, sometime, some way today,
Help me to turn aside to pray
That Thou wilt lead me in this task.
