This book has an interesting story line. I can’t think of another book that it is similar to. I would enjoy a continuation that included the same characters as this one. So many of the unique characters seem to have a whole story in them.
The heroine goes from riches to rags, and from rottenness to righteousness. She looks down on the people in a women’s shelter until she ends up going there for shelter. God’s power to change lives is shown in several different ways. As is the fact that earthly riches don’t last.
Here is the backcover copy:
Jeena Gregory thought she’d made it. She has everything a woman could ask for and a budding career promises more. But when rumors around town cast her boss in a shady light, Jeena starts to question her employer’s integrity. Was she wrong to trust this man and this job?
When the boss disappears, salaries go unpaid, and Jeena overhears several hush-hush phone calls, she realizes her carefully crafted world is crumbling. Shaken to the core at the threat of losing everything, Jeena is suddenly confronted with her prejudices?and with a God she had long forgotten.

Hi Jendi,
Thank you for your review of my newest release, Finding Jeena. I appreciate you posting a comment about the secondary characters being unique and having their own stories. They certainly do, and IF Kregel decides to do a third book in this series (the first was The Other Daughter where the reader first meets Jeena) you’ll see most of the women from the shelter again.
God bless,
