Lately it seems like the shower immobilizes me. Seems like I could stand there for hours while the warm water runs. Usually my brain runs like crazy and I think of writing ideas and tons of stuff I have to do, but not lately. Seems more like my brain says, “Ah, warm water. Let’s just shut her down.” I tell ya – some days it’s actually a good thing the kids pound on the door.
The crazy thing that actually did go through my mind was a cartoon of me as SuperMom [that's how I know I was half-asleep]. SuperMom cleans the house, makes the meals, plays with the kids all day, exercises regularly, volunteers, and still manages a business; all while looking like she’s just stepped off a magazine cover. Dum-ta-da!

Then the evil villain finds her. He is shaped rather like a clock that constantly ticks, ticks, ticks. His weapon is a warm shower. One small spray of warm water and she stops in her tracks. She shakes it off when her child pulls on her, but the evil time relentlessly follows her. Once he turns the full blast of the warm shower on SuperMom she is immobilized for no less than a half hour. The children must wait. The ringing phone cannot penetrate the noise of the falling water. Only time continues to tick, tick, tick.
Will SuperMom make it through the day? Will she escape from the mind-numbing spray? What will happen to her children? What happens when the water turns cold? Can Time ever be stopped?
Tune in next time….

Sometimes the shower can be a mom’s best friend. Those moments – alone – are nice. My only problem is my old, small water heater. Gives me about 20 minutes and then I have to get out or freeze.

I love reading your blog. I check it out all the time hoping for new posts!
I hope you don’t mind — I’ve been telling all my friends about your blog.
I printed 100 free business cards with my 10 favorite websites (yours was #1!!) and handed them out at our last Mommy Meet-up.
It made me wonder if you had ever done that for yourself? Do you ever meet anyone at a coffeeshop or a playground and start talking about blogging? Maybe you could print up some cards to hand out. Just an idea!
In return for inspiring me, I wanted to pass on these money saving tips to you:
– 100 Free business cards at http://www.RedTagPrintSale.com
In case you decide to get something else printed from them (besides the FREE business cards!) I also wanted to tell you about their unlimited use promo code – it never expires and you can use it again and again:
– 10% off promo code “RTPS10”
FYI: I’ve used this company to print fliers and signs for Church events and even yard sales. The quality is really good compared to what I’ve gotten from VistaPrint and others that offer FREE business cards.
I hope you have a great week. I’ll be checking back soon. Bye!
