This morning I ordered a $25 gift card to Olive Garden and I paid in points. Since I’m in a deal kick today I wanted to make sure you know about the MyPoints program.
Once you sign up you fill out some surveys. In the surveys you tell them what your interests/hobbies/likes are, and they send you emails based on that information.
These are the ways you can earn points:
- 5 points for clicking the link at the bottom of an email. I generally right-click and tell it to open in a new tab so I can keep whizzing through the emails.
- Surveys for 25 points or more. I use to do all of them, but lately got tired of them.
- There is also a toolbar that you can put on your computer to search through and get points that way. I’m not a fan of toolbars so I only tried that for a little bit too. I’m really not a quitter it just sounds like I am, doesn’t it?
- Get points by shopping through them. They have a lot of well-known online merchants that will give you points per dollar if you buy through the MyPoints site.
- Refer friends. That’s why I’m telling you!
When you get enough points you can redeem them for gift cards to lots of different stores including Pannera, JCPenney, Borders, Amazon, iTunes, and lots more!
It would give you a great way to earn some spending money for Christmas. Just know that it takes 2-6 weeks for your reward to arrive. Yes it’s slow, but since it’s just for clicks I still like it.

I used to do surveys with them and rack up points. I must have racked up too many because I no longer get email offers. I’ve checked my account and I have the correct subscription settings, but they don’t arrive.
Sigh…oh well…it was fun while it lasted!
