Children’s Book Giveaway

This giveaway is closed. Random.org picked comments #4 & #6 – Congrats Terri and TZel!

I love books so it was easy to instill the love of books in my children. When they saw this one sitting on my desk they asked about it right away. The children’s books we get are usually secondhand. They read just as good, but it’s a treat to have a brand new one. Now that I think about it I think I’m more delighted with the newness than my munchkins are. Oh well.

It was more interesting than I expected. When I read that it was to have beautiful pictures and scientific facts I didn’t expect it to have a fun story too. My first and second grader were able to read it by themselves. The scenery is beautiful, and a lot like Pennsylvania – including the black bears. You can get coloring pages and stuffed animals from Rusty & Ginger’s website.

Join Rusty and Ginger as they travel through the woods. Author Tim Ostermeyer’s beautiful wildlife photography provides a fox’s-eye view of the forest. With a charming story to guide the way, and a fact page of wildlife information for every animal introduced in the book, readers can explore nature alongside Rusty and Ginger.

I have seen all but bobcat. The cougar was definitely intimadating. It was crossing a road as we were driving. Couldn’t believe our eyes.

I’ve seen a fox, deer, and bear. I prefer to see most of the animals you mentioned in the zoo though. ;)

Deer lots of times here in Michigan.

I’ve seen a fox, deer, bear and wolf(well we weren’t sure if it was a wolf or coyote – but it was one of them!).

I’ve only seen bears at the zoo. We had a fox in our backyard once (cool) and I’ve seen deer in the wild, often. (We live in Texas)

I’ve seen fox and deer in real life. Hope I don’t ever have to see the bigger animals outside of the zoo ever!

I’ve seen deer (plenty of them), fox and bear (in Alaska). Have never seen wolf, cougar or bobcat outside captivity…that is probably a good thing. :-)

  11. Amy Brewer says:

I have seen fox, many deers, wolf, coyote. We live in a wooded area so we do see many things. There was pictures in the paper of a black bear (smaller one) in my area but I haven’t seen it but my neighbors have.

  12. Linda Kish says:

No, but I have seen opossum and raccoon in my garage and coyotes running around.

I’ve seen both deer and a bobcat. I’m constantly on the lookout for deer where I live since it’s in a very rural area. When I was growing up, which was many years ago before the towns spread so much, my aunt lived in the country and there were not only bobcats but lots of other wildlife. Oh, and lets not forget the coyotes I see pretty much weekly now also.
