My husband has hatched eggs before. LOL. I asked him if I could tell you that he is such a mother hen, but he didn’t care for that idea. I didn’t want to tell you that I’m nesting because it’s really him and the kids taking care of the eggs. You can see our newest additions in the video.
One thing for sure – our kids know the meaning of the saying, “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.” We started with 14 eggs and are down to 6. My man showed me how to check if the egg is good by candling it. [We used a flashlight but it's not called flashlighting.] It was interesting how much of a difference there was between the good eggs and the bad eggs. And that’s no yoke!
