My husband and I headed a couple hours south Thursday evening – in and out of rain as we went up and down mountains. When we arrived the nice lady at the Marriott desk upgraded us for free!
Those are my shoes that came off immediately; and my husband checked right away to make sure the bed would be okay.
This was the left side view from our own private balcony on the end of the 12th floor. Did you know that I love balconies? I do. And while the view wasn’t as awe-inspiring as the Grand Canyon or the beach – it is fascinating and I enjoyed it.

We had our belated anniversary dinner and look at the dessert we shared! Yum!
