Days Without The Son Are Sad Days

light on bible I love sunshine. I love to wake up with sunshine on my bed. For almost 3 years I lived in a basement apartment with no windows in my bedroom. It was hard to get up in the morning when there were no windows to let in the light. I started to crave the sunlight and have side effects from missing it – whether real or brought on by myself I don’t know; but it was a struggle.

I also love the Son. I love to wake up and read His words to me. I couldn’t go 3 years without spending time with the Son. Thankfully, I can have Him with me everywhere – unlike sunshine. He helped me through those dark mornings and cranky days.

Maybe you don’t realize that you can cure your side effects by spending time with the Son.

My favorite ever? Spending time in the morning sun – in my bedroom – with the Son and His words.

This post was written for 5 Minute Friday. Her prompt for this week is Unexpected. Here’s the list of my other 5 Minute Friday posts.

  1. Stopping by from Lisa-Jo’s place. I agree, I love the sunshine and spending time with the Son. Great reminder that light can fill our lives at any moment, whenever we need it!
