Since Little Changes is different than my usual read I’m going to start with the description:
Little Changes is a succulent swirling lollipop of lessons about the products we smother on our skin, foods we devour, and surroundings in which we immerse ourselves.
After a startling discovery threatened to extinguish her right to be a mother to her three children, Kristi Marsh was thrown into an unexpected mommy-timeout. Over the next few years, she resurrected her inner warrior, vowed to abandon mainstream domesticity, and challenged the parenting status quo in the name of health. A gut-wrenching roller coaster of emotions, her adventure involves a Western Grebe, farm stand spinach, a meaty love story, a rock in Wyoming, and some pioneers—which eventually captured national attention.
I wasn’t sure that I would like the book, but since I met the author – and she was so nice – I decided to at least start it. Turns out I finished it and have been thinking about it ever since.
Why didn’t I think I would like it? I was worried that it was going to go all environmental, hippie, tree hugging craziness and I’m not into that. Instead – the author’s main goal is to have a healthier life for her and her children. She’s invested in having a healthier earth that will result in healthier food for her and her children. That I can agree with.
If I stop and think about all that she has said about carcinogens in cleaners, endocrine disruptors in what I eat, and BPA in containers I get overwhelmed. Kristi, the author, encourages me to take little steps to combat that feeling. She doesn’t say to throw everything away in my house and go buy the better [usually more expensive] things to replace them. She shows me how she started with replacing toiletries one at a time, using homemade cleaners instead of harmful ones, and use the money saved from not buying cleaners to purchase better food.
As I stop to take a deep breath and tell my husband what I’m learning, I realize that I’ve already taken some small steps. I switched to organic cleaners to protect our love birds lungs. My husband purchased paint with zero VOC for our walls. My journey has already started.
Kristi writes to tell me to make Little Changes one at a time and celebrate the ones I’ve already made. The information from her journey to a healthier family will make my journey much easier.
You can find more information at the author’s site. This book was given to me through the SheStreams Conference swag bag. The words are fully my own and my affiliate link is in this post.

I think this is a good little changes. From using expensive things at home to more lesser one and economical.
I haven’t read this book yet, but it’s quite interesting.
Thanks for sharing some review of this book!
