First Disney World Trip For Me And My Kids

I was honored to be one of the bloggers selected to receive an invitation to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. We had actually been invited last year, but couldn’t make it work since we had recently bought this house. We knew that we wanted to go this year if at all possible – and it was!

It’s all clear now, right? LOL You want to know more? Disney invites social media moms to come learn about the park and bus and offers a discounted price that includes a conference day, tickets to the parks, 3 nights in one of their hotels, and some meals. We have to take care of travel, supplies, and any other food we want.

It started Thursday night with a reception where I got to say hello to many blogger friends – so fun! The room we were in had beautiful chandeliers. I’m in the front left of this photo; the one with her elbows up in the air. I have no clue what I was doing. Probably pushing my hair back – I don’t know – it looks weird; but that’s me.

Make Your Own Dog Toy From Jeans

During bad winter weather our dog – and our kids – get antsy because they can’t go out and run off the excess energy. Dog toys are a big help, but I dislike buying the toys that are just going to get chewed up in a day or two.

Create A Photo Book For A Great Gift – Giveaway included

Photobook giveaway information at bottom of post. Ends 12/10/12.

photo book Last month I was able to be a part of a very special lady’s birthday. I helped make her cry, but they were good tears! Really. She is the owner of the bird rescue house that we visit and for her birthday the group presented her with a photo book. Inside the photo book was stories and pictures from people who have had the rescue enrich their life and help them learn how to care for birds as pets.

I’ve used photo books as unique, personalized gifts before and while I might not say Shutterfly Photo Books: The Best Gift Ever; they are pretty close!

Somehow when the scrapbook idea first came up I opened my big mouth and talked about the neat photo books you can make through Shutterfly. I thought it would be easier if everyone could just email pictures and letters because most of us use digital cameras anyway. Turns out that if you open your mouth like that you get to put the book together. It actually was fun; another lady hounded the people for pictures and letters than forwarded them to me. I took a bit of time each evening before bed and added the latest pictures to the photo book. I love that I can scrapbook without having to drag out a pile of stuff to use; I just open my laptop, log in, save when I’m done, and go on my way. I was even able to get a sale discount and free shipping. It was an awesome gift to show her how much we appreciate all that she does.

My Day Off From Being A Mother

It started at 10:00am on Friday through 10:00am on Saturday. I was childless for 24 hours. Wow!

First thing I did – laundry. LOL Next I edited a video [trying to make some moolah]. Then – oh then! – I went out to lunch with Sarah and Sarah since they were in town for a conference. It was such fun!

After lunch I crashed the conference. Okay, so I stood in the hall and talked to people as they passed and two of the conference planners talked to me. It’s just more fun to say that I crashed the conference. It would have made an even better blog post if they threw me out – don’t ya think?

Pumpkin Seeds And How I Roasted Them

Pumpkin seeds help fight depression, osteoporosis, inflammation, and they are extra good for men. I’m not going to explain it here – you can find Google on your own. Pumpkin seeds also have vitamins B, C, D, E, and K. Add to all that the fact that I just hate to throw out a large quantity of something that is actually edible, and you have me figuring out how to roast pumpkin seeds.

.

Of course I consulted Google and then I learned how to do this from the site called Pumpkin Patches And More.
