Focus On Business

Stop chasing new ideas and focus on the profit producing activities in your business. Kelly McCausey shows you how developing a tighter focus leads to more profit and less work in The Power of a Focused Business.

I’ve been involved in the online blogging/social media world at some level since 2006. I’ve learned a lot of things and been involved in many different types of ways to earn money. However, I’ve not always utilized the information I have.

It’s so easy to jump from one thing to another – to try something for just a bit and then see something else to try that looks better. It’s called “Shiny Object Syndrome” and it actually hurts the profits. It’s best to get a project to profit before starting another one, but many of us struggle with that. [I also struggle with this in real life; that's why only half of my room is decluttered and the clean laundry is still in baskets.]

What’s Up With This Blog

Dear readers – friends, family, and random strangers,

I know that I have not been posting consistently on this site. I still love this blog and am not shutting it down – especially because I just renewed the hosting for 3 years. Preppers Group I’m Part Of

prepper I almost chuckle whenever I say “I’m a prepper” because it feels like I shouldn’t have the “r” in the word. But I am a “prepper” and not a “pepper”; I’ve just built up a tolerance for Dr. Pepper after being married to a pepper for almost 15 years. Are you confused yet?

Let me start over:

I’m very pleased to announce that I’m a contributor at MomPrepares.com. My very first video post went live today and I’d love for you to check it out and leave a comment. In the post I answer the question, “What’s a Prepper?” and how they differ from survivalists.

How To Tell You If Spend Too Much Time Online

When I first started blogging it seemed like the majority of bloggers had desktop computers. It was rare to hear of someone blogging in a coffee shop and definitely not from a smart phone. Of necessity we couldn’t spend as much time “connected” to the online world. I only checked email once a day {gasp}! Now there are tablets, data plans…on the way out of the store my husband noticed that Sears advertised free wi-fi! There’s hardly any reason to be away from email for a couple hours. Who needs instant messaging when we can reply to emails instantly?

Occasionally, you might realize that your vehicle needed inspected 3 months ago and you can’t remember the last time your child had a bath. You call your gardens a weed preserve and don’t need curtains on your windows because they are opaque with dirt.
