Today I was thinking of writing to tell you that I’ve been accepted to speak at 3 conferences! I’m super excited – and nervous. I was planning to tell you that I’m looking for sponsor opportunities, because only some of the conference costs are covered. And that I’m keeping an eye out for work so I can cover the costs without dipping into my husband’s income.

But as I was active online I came across news of…

• a mother that lost a 9 year old child,
• a woman visiting a place packed with people that literally have nothing,
• and another family whose main source of income is gone because the father was laid off.
