Vlogging Like Mad In March

If you’ve followed me for any length of time you know that I love to do videos. When Shynea mentioned trying to vlog every day in March I had a lightbulb moment. Ding! I asked a lot of questions and threw a bunch of suggestions at her. She agreed and we are co-hosting…

March Vlogging Madness!

We’d love to have you join in! The link-up is at Simple Vlogging Tips and the list of my awesome sponsors!

Since I will be doing lots of video there will be a shift on this site for the month of March. I’ll still be posting written book reviews, but the Sunday Poem will be on hold until April. I don’t know how many other written posts there will be. I hope you hang around, but if you don’t like video check back in April.

Let the madness begin!

Featured on Two Sites

I have some exciting news!

First – I made it on to MommytoMommy.tv! Woo-hoo! My video called “Reach For Your Goals” is live there now. I used clips from the beach, the rodeo, and sledding in one video – plus green screen. Wow.

Second – the post that I submitted to TypeAParent.com is now featured. It’s called Did You Make a Resolution To Vlog? If you are a blogger I recommend you join TypeAParent.com. You can submit links from your own site or you can submit original content. In the original content you are permitted to use affiliate links and link backs to your site; plus it’s set up for all the Google Adsense revenue to go to the author. It’s a very generous set-up!

I’d really appreciate comments on either – or both – of the posts.

Now that’s a subtle hint, isn’t it.

Angela England‘s tagline is The Renaissance Woman. I think it fits very well. She has animals, kids, doula training, and online business. I first “met” her through a video blog about maternity clothing, but I was able to see her in real life at the 2010 Blissdom Conference. [She's the editor-in-chief at BlissfullyDomestic.com as well.]  I’ve learned about blogging, business, and life from her and plan to keep her blog in my reader for a long time.

If I Don’t Write I Don’t Sleep

I figure that I have been writing something at least 5 days a week since July 2007. If I wasn’t actually typing something I was mentally planning what I was going to write or trying to think of a topic. If I’m not writing a post I’m often creating script for a video, or taking in content that others have created. Even when I’m away from the computer doing laundry or dishes I often listen to a podcast about working at home or online business. My point is that my mind works a lot through the course of a day.

An App To Manage Gift Cards

I downloaded this app, but haven’t had a chance to set it up. I added it to my iPod Touch and then was supposed to verify through my email. The email went to the spam folder and expired in an hour. So the first try didn’t work. After the second sign up I got distracted with supper or something and again missed the hour before the email expired. The third time’s the charm. [Did you know that I'm the third child in my family? hee-hee] I have verified my information, but not added any cards yet. I’m interested in learning more about it.
