Our Labrottie Playing With A Balloon

My kids know if they want to keep a balloon they have to keep it up. Once the dog gets it he plays for a couple minutes then pops it. Don’t worry – we pick up the pieces as soon as he pops it so he doesn’t eat them. And yes he probably would eat the pieces.

Scripture Wall Art: What Should I Choose?

bible and paperI’m on a quest today. I want to put Scripture in every room of my house. I want to surround my children with the Bible. I’m not perfect, but it is!

My problem is that there are so-o many good verses! And so many nice decorations. How can I choose? I hate decisions.

Waking Up Both Body And Mind

The mug I drink from during devotions.

The days I struggle with the most are when I’m not fully awake. Some days my body is out of bed and “awake”, but my mind is still in sleep mode. Other days my mind is racing 90 mph, but my body doesn’t want to do anything.

Going to bed earlier or taking a nap helps the body. Focusing the mind is another matter. I’ve found that having a morning devotion time greatly helps calm my mind and gives my body a couple minutes to adjust to the idea of another full day.
