She loves her cocoa. She gets her own mug from the dishwasher, but still needs help with reaching the faucet for water. She can operate the microwave with no problem. It’s joy to her. That small number pad represents so many choices and changes that she can make. All by herself.
For a while she always pushed the same numbers 1. 3. 0. Start. Then one morning she asked, “Can I push some different numbers?” I was unaware that it had gotten boring for her. For me the numbers are comfortingly the same every day. Oh, I might break out into my wild side and do 1:35 or 1:40; but I prefer to not think about it. I quickly answered, “You can push 1. 3. 5.” “Okay!” She smiled as she did.
