I received some toy trucks called Defiants from Mom Select and thought, “Sure they’re neat.” Then I gave one to a nephew as a birthday present and I thought, “Those are neater than I thought!” Thirdly I gave one to my son and now I think, “Those are cool!” So it grew on me.
The one I gave my nephew would spin in circles on it’s back tires if it was on a smooth surface. The boys thought that was great fun. Sadly, my son’s doesn’t spin like that – it was one of the first things he tried.

Gave The Kids Paint And Turned Them Loose

Every day they begged to paint. We said, “You are not going to paint any room upstairs.” However, for the basement we would take all the help we could get. We bought a rather large bucket of primer [recommended by the man in Lowe's] to start covering the dark paneling.
We had already torn out the carpet so it didn’t matter about the drips. We raided Daddy’s old T-shirts so it didn’t matter about the clothes.

We’ve come four more years since the rough time when she wouldn’t smile. Now she is a total camera ham and smiles, poses, makes faces, etc. [I just like to keep those pictures a bit more private.]
