A Good Pediatrician Is A Valuable Asset

Everyone should have a pediatrician that makes them feel like a great parent. If you are a parent, that is. If you’re not – you can have a yucky pediatrician.

We actually see a nurse practitioner, and she is simply wonderful. We have to schedule weeks ahead and take what is available, but it is so worth it. She works with our “no insurance” issues and her parenting opinions run closely parallel to mine.

I Hear Voices And I Don’t Know Who They Are

talk bubblesWhen I had one child in the house I always knew whose voice was talking. Then I had two. One could say words and one couldn’t. Still easy to tell them apart. Next I had three. Two could say words and one couldn’t. Pretty easy to tell them apart – one spoke sentences. Soon all three could talk. By that point I couldn’t.

As they grow older it seems like their voices are getting more similar. They each had words they consistently mis-prounounced, but now they are closer to the same speaking level. Places behind closed doors or inside showers, and times like late at night or early in the morning make it difficult to distinguish which one it is. Wonder if I could teach them to speak in different accents.

Like-New Engagement And Wedding Ring

Finally have my rings back! When I was single I guess I was used to the looks and second glances from guys. Then I wore a wedding ring for 11 years. I haven’t had my wedding ring for 10 months. When I had my kids with me it wasn’t a problem, but occasionally I’d have the privilege of shopping by myself and notice more second looks and guys trying to talk to me. So happy to have my sparkly rings back!

The Earring Eating Drawer

I just recovered a handful of earrings! How fun is that? Ones I was missing and ones I forgot about.

I have a bad habit of forgetting to take my earrings out in my bedroom. I’ll be ready to get in the shower, or in the shower, and realize that I still have my earrings in. If I’m washing my hair I have to take them out or I’ll lose them down the drain. So I take them out and put them in the top drawer in the bathroom. Or I holler for someone to come take them from my hand and put them in the top drawer.
