Somewhere I read an article written by a photographer who was complaining about the mothers that “take over” the photo studio.
That would be me.
I positively know that I can get my child to smile better than that photographer using-the-high-squeaky-voice that-doesn’t-really-care and just-needs-a-job-to-get-through-college.

A shot that is “Motherhood” to me:

It was a typical evening at home. Supper was over, I was doing dishes, the kids were playing, and my hubby was playing with his camera.
My youngest always keeps track of me so she was going back and forth between the toys and my skirt.

My children make my life ten times more challenging; but they bring me the greatest joy.
Moving, even daily life, would be so much easier without three preschoolers.
BUT
They are the reason I keep going right now.
They are not super kids; just normal kids with normal ups and downs.

I’m sure that there are people reading this on both sides of the co-sleep debate. Some of you will be appalled to know that I let my kids sleep in my bed with me occasionally. Others of you will be scandalized to learn that I put my tiny babies in a regular size [...]

Do you remember something that you said that made sense at the time, but sounded totally weird when you thought about it?

My 20 month old is a loyal follower of my 5 year old. He is a willing [though sometimes scary] instigator leader.
He has this sing-song tone of voice that he uses to ask questions like, “Who wants to color?”

Momnesia.
I usually call it “Mommy Brain.” It may not be full blown at this moment, but I have it.
There is some good news:

It’s not permanent.
I may be more efficient after I recover.
I’m not losing my mind, just refocusing.
There’s proof to show my husband that I’m not making it up.
