I now make our own tonic water because the purchased stuff is either aspartame [neuro toxin] or corn syrup! I use arrowroot rather than cornstarch, cage free eggs, wild caught fish etc. I grind wheat for flour, and make everything I can from scratch, it really dowesn't take that much longer. I just made pickled beets last night. My youngest DGS is gluten free so I have had to invent recipes for his favorite foods, keeps me on my toes! We are moving from our rented duplex a few miles away to a wonderful home of our own with five acres! We are already planning the gardens and the animal spaces. We have been slowly weeding out processed food for real food. Now if I could just be zapped with a love for cooking. I love to bake but cooking isn't something I enjoy. I wish you lived closer because I'm going to start blogging again about the process of building our little homestead and want to do a lot of vlogging. I'll probably be bugging you for lots of hints, tips etc. Some processed foods I will probably never weed out would be Oreos, snickers and the occasional bag of salt-n-vinegar potatoe chips.
