My husband helped me lay out a new garden for vegetables. So exciting! It’s not large - just 10 x 12, but it will be a good size for me and my munchkins. I will have pictures soon.

I want to grow a variety of vegetables in small quantities.
- Tomatoes (4 plants)
- Cucumbers (a bunch of these)
- Peppers (2 plants)
- Carrots
- Beans (4 plants)
- Broccoli
- Lettuce
- Onion
- Snap Peas
- Garlic
- Potatoes
- Zucchini (only one!)
- Mint (I know it’s not a vegetable!)
What are you planning to grow in the spring?

Hm, thinking about spring already? I haven’t finished with fall yet, I’m kinda behind I guess. My list usually includes snap peas, various salad stuff, scallions, might try again with bulbing fennel (if I can figure out how to make it bulb!), basil, parsley, and perhaps some new-to-me things like collards and kale, plus carrots and beets if I can get the birds and pillbugs to stay away this year.

I want to try some basil in a pot over the winter. Think it will work?

Smart choice on the zucchini, lol! That is great that you are planning ahead, I wish my fall work was done so I could dream of next year. Great post!
I have to “disguise” the zucchini anyways. So I don’t use much.

A good list indeed. I am planning to grow all that is on your list and adding asparagus I think.

I think my list is pretty popular/common stuff. We aren’t big vegetable eaters.

I’ll be growing garlic for sure…if I get it planted this fall
Everything else still is in the planning stage but I guess Tomatoes, peppers, eggplant will be in there. Be careful with your mint, it will want to take over!

So true about the mint! I want to put the garlic in now, too!

We enjoy green beans, carrots, broccoli, and zucchini most of all. We have blueberry bushes and raspberries also.
Great idea for a Thursday 13.
Thanks you. There are wild berry bushes here that my kids love.
