People ask me if I had a good vacation and I say “Yes.” Then I add, “Good as can be with three little ones.”
Someone told me, “They won’t remember it anyways.” Thanks a lot.
My definition of a good vacation has changed. I believe that it will keep changing for the next 20 years.
We were married for five years before we had children so we pretty much did whatever we wanted/could afford. Now I think, “Wow, for a whole week no one banged on the door while I was taking a shower because there was two bathrooms.” Good vacation. The kids were excited to ride horses and do new things. Good vacation. I didn’t vacuum the whole week [not that I really mind vacuuming… it’s just the principle of it]. The kids begged to take baths in the huge tub. We saw great views. We did things as a family. Good vacation.
So even though I got extremely tired and eating out was very stressful…Yes, it was a good vacation.
