My 3 year old daughter constantly asks to wear her jacket ever since the one day it was cold and rainy. I’m usually saying no because it’s in the 70’s and sunny out. Well yesterday she begged to wear it and I let her because: 1. It was windy here; 2. It got cool in the evening with the wind; and 3. she told me “Jesus goes in our hearts and He doesn’t want any wind in His heart.” How could I argue with that!?
Also yesterday I went into my son’s room to wake him up from his nap and he was sleeping with the sheet totally over his head. It looked quite funny – kind of like a mummy. I think that he was hiding from the stink bug that was by his window. [I told him that bugs don’t like blankets; they’re too soft for them.]
My 15 month old is growing taller. She can climb on the stool and reach the bathroom hand soap. Lately I’ve been finding the hand soap in odd places. Places like the couch, her sister’s bed, under the table, etc. At least she doesn’t know how to pump the soap out…yet.
So, do you think I should let them play the game where they call their little sister a monster? My son says, “Run, here comes the monster!” Then they take off with her after them. They get a few minutes of play time before she catches up again… I can just see her in a psychiatrists office years from now, “When I was a little girl…” 🙂
