Do any of you other mothers get tired of saying no?
Some days it feels like that’s all I say. No, you can’t have candy. No, you may not go outside without your coat. No, you must not let the 1 year old have markers. No, don’t jump off the bunk bed. No candy. No you can’t wear sandals in the snow. No, you aren’t allowed to stay up all night. No, you can’t use the sharp knife. No Candy!
I do say “not now” occasionally. There’s just some days… No, No, No! It’s not going to change in 2 minutes. It’s not going to change if you ask me a different way. A-a-a!
Are my children the only ones like this?!
One of my older children will ask for something and the 1 year old will say, “No-o.” Is this a bad sign?
