Chicks In The Ugly Stage

That’s what my husband said. I think they’re still kind of cute, but they are obviously in chicken adolescence. I took them outside today for the first time – their first breath of fresh outside air – so I could get some pics for you. And if you think it’s hard to get four children to look at you at the same time – you should try chicks!
The one on the right with it’s back toward us is Ranger. We tend to call it a he, but we don’t really know. He’s the second born, biggest chick and has a dark streak down his head so it’s easy to tell apart.
