I had the brilliant idea of taking Easter pictures with the chicks. We didn’t do too bad for 3 children and 4 chicks. This isn’t the best one, but I like it.
Who can resist looking at and touching the chicks? I can’t.

This is the evening after the morning they hatched.
[Did you get it? Breaking News? ha-ha]
It’s the 20th day of having eggs in the incubator. This was 7:00 am:
My 4 year old daughter is obsessed with babies. When I told her that her best friend’s mommy has a baby in her belly she stared at the expecting mommy for a whole church service. She wanted to know when she could have a baby so I told her that she had to grow up and get married first. Now she is eagerly awaiting the day.

The other day at lunch she was talking to my 2 year old.
“You’ll go on the potty and wear underwear. Then you’ll grow up some more and get married. After you get married you’ll get a baby in your belly.”
The 2 year old pulled up her shirt and looked at her belly.
“Not inside your shirt. Inside your skin. You’ll have a baby.”
“uh-huh” agreed the 2 year old.
Guess all that other stuff in the middle just whizzes by.
My oldest daughter LOVES babies. When I told her that there were babies in the hotel she really wanted to see them. The idea for this video came from that. She did get to walk in with me after the sessions on Saturday and meet some of these babies and the 2 ladies with “babies in their bellies.” [I'm running out of ways to answer her questions without really answering them - knowwhatImean? She's only 4 years old!]
To make this video I used my handy little Flip camera. I walked up to total strangers with babies at the blogging conference and asked, “Can I video you and your baby?” To their credit not one of them said “No – crazy lady stalking babies – get lost!” I think it helped that they’re all bloggers.
After several emails, a firmware update, blood, sweat, and tears I have the video finished. I sincerely hope that I have all the information right and that nothing is offensive to the nice ladies in the video. I’m also sorry if you had a baby at Blissdom and I missed you. I tried to ask all the mothers I saw during Saturday. Some of them I asked twice! My brain was whirling with so many new names and faces.
