Conservative Christian Music Resources

cd casesWe are very conservative with our music; we enjoy classical, sacred, and some folk. This does tend to limit the buying of cds because we can’t just bop down to Target or Wal-mart and buy a new one. However, my husband and I have a good sized collection of approx. 150 cds that we have built up over the years. A friend asked about where we buy cds and I compiled a list of online sources. I thought that some of you might like to know about these resources.

My disclaimer: I’m not blanket endorsing everything on all of these sites. You are responsible for your own choices. If you have questions about specific ones feel free to ask me. These are listed in no specific order – not even alphabetically!

Show & Tell Friday ~ Under the Cupboard

showandtellsmall.jpgIt’s Friday once again. Where has the week gone? Wait…I don’t really want to know.

You can click on the picture to visit Kelli’s blog with the list of Show & Tell participants.

This is one of my Christmas presents.img_6906.JPG

My husband got a good deal with a rebate on this CD/radio/auxilary player.

The big CD/tape/radio player that was under it went to my son’s room and I have more counter space. Counter space is a great thing to have more of. Never mind the fact that it’s full at the moment.

The radio kind of hisses and frustrates me, but I don’t actually listen to the radio a lot. I found myself constantly running to turn it down so the kids wouldn’t hear something. That quickly discourages the whole radio thing.

The best thing is that I can hook my iPod Nano to it and create endless possibilities of listening happiness. See, it’s like this…The majority of my clothes don’t have pockets that work with an iPod. Plus, the headphones get knocked off my ears a lot. I’ve no clue why that is; I only have one toddler that hangs on my hip, one 3 yo that wraps herself around me, and one 5 yo that constantly has questions.

A small tip for iPod owners. If you want to buy connector cords/headphones/accessories for your iPod, don’t automatically buy the iPod/apple brand. My husband bought the plain black cord [that works fine] for $6.00. The iPod brand cord costs $15.00 to do the same thing!
