As a little girl I expected to have ceiling lights that worked from a switch, an electric washing machine, dryer, toaster, and vacuum. That’s just things that were in our house. My children expect to have all those things plus…
- remote controls

- cordless house phones
- cell phones
- navigational systems in the car
- iPods or other players
- digital cameras where they can see the picture right away.
What will their children expect?
Away from home I expected grocery stores full of food, no line at the gas pumps, service desks for store returns, and lots of choices when I wanted to buy something.
Will those things be around when my children are having children?
