I went without chocolate for 2 days. That’s a big deal for me! It was especially trying the day that we could smell chocolate in the air as it drifted from Hershey. I haven’t gone without chocolate that long since 8 years ago when I was pregnant and the midwife told me to. I lasted for 2 days then as well. Guess that’s my limit.
I Survived Two Days Without Chocolate
Back To Monday Mingle
Last year I participated in a bunch of Monday Mingles on my vlogging site, but I haven’t done any for four months. I’m jumping in this week to support a new vlogger and catch up on what the regular minglers are up to. I decided to post it on this site because even though it is a vlog it’s personal and not vlogging tips. Make sense? No? That’s okay. It doesn’t make sense to me either. I do know that they are my sites and I can put the videos wherever I want. [That sentence really made me feel like sticking out my tongue, but I didn't - my kids are watching.]
In case you don’t know what Monday Mingle is – Jennifer at EightyMPHMom.com hosts it every week. And believe me – hosting a meme every. single. week. is not easy. She posts 3 questions that the participants are to answer via video. Then we go around and mingle with the other participants by watching their videos and leaving comments. Comments are to blogs and vlogs as chocolate is to keeping me happy.
Without further ado here’s my Monday Mingle:

Two Ways I Help Save Money On Groceries
I got desperate for some video topics for March Vlogging Madness. It’s gotten later at night till I start recording; and the tiredness shows. Anyway…
Since I’m a wife and mother – I might have mentioned that a couple times here, but wanted to remind you just in case – I spend a lot of time around food. When I needed a video topic I naturally turned to what I had to do that day anyways.
Here’s one about buying burger in bulk and one about how I plan my menu…at this time.
Freezing Peppers
We don’t eat raw peppers here. I’ve offered them to the kids several times, but no go. We do eat them cooked in with other foods so it’s nice to have some on hand.
Did you know that peppers are a great source of vitamin C? And cold season is upon us.
When I get a bunch for a good price I chop them and freeze them so they don’t go bad. If you have a nice electric chopper it can help you get done a lot faster. Just be careful because I turned one bag full into pepper mush.
It’s easy – and fun – to go to the freezer during the winter and get some pepper pieces to throw into whatever dish I’m making.
And that’s what Works For Me.
