How A Christian’s Life Is Like A Rosebush

rose bushesThe rose bush starts out pruned, cleaned, and beautiful at the store. Wherever it was before is forgotten. It might have been in a pristine environment or in a weedy field, but the new owner just sees it as a new plant. It usually has a lot of growing to do, and in the beginning will need a lot of care.

I became a new person when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. He forgot all my sins. With care I started growing in my new life as a Christian.

My Pitiful Garden

I did not endeavor to do much this year with vegetable gardening. I have 8 cucumber plants and 4 tomato plants. I did plant a bunch of flowers and the begonias are doing really well under the shady tree. The other flowers I tried under there just didn’t grow – so now I know to use begonias.

The other gardening problem is the groundhog. While we were away at camp the groundhog dug a hole under the gate. The rest of the way around the garden the fence goes down into the dirt so it found the weakest point. [Read more...]
