7 Chocolate Things I Ate in the Last 7 Days

Because I can’t think of seven new things about me that would be at all interesting I’m twisting this tag around.  I didn’t even have to strain to think of this list of 7 chocolate things I ate in the last 7 days.

  1. Snickers,
  2. Cadbury’s dairy milk chocolate [not near as good as Hershey's],
  3. Reese’s peanut butter cup miniatures and full size,
  4. Reese’s Crispy Crunchy Bar
  5. Rolo,
  6. pudding pie, and
  7. Chocolate Moose Tracks Ice Cream.

That’s not counting the hot cocoa or the chocolate cake with chocolate icing.  Excuse me for a minute while I go exercise.

Bar of Chocolate with Cocoa, Cocoa Powder and Cocoa Beans by Peter Rees

I received a nice email from Amanda who writes Mommy’s Idea Book telling me that I’d been tagged.  I figured out that this was the first time I was tagged for 7 things.  I did Six Non-important Things [it's long], Six Really Unimportant Things [this one's shorter], and six more in this post.  Can’t be much left that you don’t know, but if you have any questions feel free to ask them in the comments.

Here are the rules:

  1. Link to your original tagger and list these rules in your post.
  2. Share 7 facts about yourself in the post.
  3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names and links to their blogs.
  4. Let them know they’ve been tagged.

I’m not fond of tagging people.  If you want to play along with the chocolate list or the regular meme let me know and I’ll link to you.

My First Pink Bag

Today’s handbag meme is courtesy of Hannah from Changing my Definition of Life.  I’ve known her since before she carried purses.  Back when she kept bugging her sister and I when we tried to play.  Thankfully, she’s much nicer now. ;)

  1. Post a picture of whatever bag you are carrying as of late. No, you cannot go up to your closet and pull out that cute little purse you used back before you had kids. I want to know what you carried today or the last time you left the house. No cheating!
  2. I want to know how much it cost:) And this is not to judge. This is for entertainment purposes only. So spill it. And if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, we’d love to hear it.
  3. Tag some chicks. And link back to this post so people know why you’re showing everyone your bag.

I carried this purse just this morning to the thrift store, the train yard, and the grocery store.  Since my last baby’s first birthday I have carried the diaper bag and purse as 2 separate things.  Worked better that way for foisting my children off on my husband, grandparents, friends, or anyone willing to take them.  I’m kidding!

It’s from J.C. Penney’s.  I can’t remember the price; I just remember that it was 50% off.

Before this lady entered my life I’d only carried black, brown, tan, or white purses.  It’s the first time I’ve gone so much against the “rule” of matching shoes and bag.  I’m such a rebel. I’ve never owned pink shoes – as long as jellies don’t count.  I used very neutral diaper bags/backpacks so my husband wouldn’t feel foolish schlepping them around.  There’s no reason for him to carry my purse so bring on the pink!

What color purse do you have?  Have you ever carried a pink purse?

I’m terrible at tagging people so if you want to play along just leave a comment and I’ll link to your post.  In the meantime you can check out Tanna’s bag at her blog here.

Meme’s are Good For Slow Brain Days

Kaye from Riding Bicycles tagged me for a photo meme.

My brain is running slow today because I was up from 4 AM off and on with a sick 2 year old.  I’ll spare you the gruesome details that have resulted in no less than 3 extra loads of laundry.  (More about laundry coming soon.)

Anyhowser (that’s from Katina and I think it’s so fun to say) -

Here are the rules for the photo meme…

1. Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer
2. Select the 4th picture in the folder
3. Explain the picture
4. Tag 4 people to do the same
5. No Cheating (Cropping, editing, etc..)

Due to recent cleaning out and redoing of our computer this is the photo:

If you’re a regular reader you already saw it in this post.

My girls and I go here every 8 weeks.  In fact I talked to my hairstylist yesterday because I lost my appointment card.  I’m so organized.  Not.

If you would like to play along leave me a comment and I’ll put your link at the bottom of this post.

My First Book Meme-Thingy Tag

These are the rules passed on to me by Courtney at http://amomspeaks.com/ive-been-tagged/#mce_temp_url#.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next two to five sentences.
5. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the cool book or the intellectual one. Pick the closest.
6. Tag five people to do the same

Normally I have a book on the desktop, but I cleaned off my desk to work on a vlog.  There are coloring books in the drawer, but I don’t think they would work very well.

Let me look…

There is a hymnal, children’s books, and a newspaper that I would have to walk past to get to my reading book.

So it will be…Annie and the Wild Animals by Jan Brett.

It doesn’t have 56 pages so here is the text from page 5 and 6.  You get a two for one deal here!

One morning Annie could not find Taffy anywhere.  She looked and looked, but Taffy was gone.  Annie was very lonely.  ”I need a new friend,” thought Annie.

Oops, I missed seeing the book titled An Extraordinary Egg.  It was upside down and a bit closer than Annie.  Don’t be too upset.  I can post from that one another time. ;)

It’s Up to 18 Now

First I did Six Non-important Things in a terrible wordy way then I posted Six Really Unimportant Things in a brief way.  Now I’ve been tagged by Katina and Janet to do it again.

  1. When eating pasta my favorite noodles are angel hair, but my husband’s are rigatoni.  So we cook a variety of pastas.
  2. I’m enjoying Twitter more than I expected.
  3. My sewing machine was put away for about two months [bad me], but it’s out again now [good me].  Gonna start whipping up culottes, presents, Jean Bags, plus do assorted mending.
  4. I found out that it’s ok to not use the brakes when driving go karts on a track, but in the field and down hills they are necessary.
  5. I bite my tongue to keep from correcting people’s speech when they say, “I seen.”    It’s common around this area, and it drives me bonkers!  I have seen, I‘ve seen, or I saw PLEASE.
  6. My criminal activity consists of sneaking water bottles into McDonalds so I don’t have to pay for sugary drinks.  [Sshh.]

Feel free to join in on your blog.  I’m referring to the meme, not sneaking water bottles. :)
