Great Android App For Photography

If you’re active online or with mobile devices you’ve probably heard of Instagram. BUT – it’s only for Apple users and my phone is Android based. I really wanted to fool around with filters over pictures. After a bit of research I found this fun app called Lightbox that is for Android phones and very similar to Instagram – and it’s free! Here’s some of the pictures I’ve taken recently:

I made the collage with another free app called Photo Grid.

Thought Provoking Picture

My husband took this picture.  He saw it one week and captured it the next, but he doesn’t like the way it turned out.  I think it’s really neat!  A bunch of analogies have flitted through my mind.  I’m going to just let the picture speak for itself.

Through My Husband’s Camera Lens

Recently I’ve been working on some promotional materials for our church camp.  This required going through last year’s pictures.  There were kids unloading bags and playing kickball.  Then there was this picture:Birds are one of my favorite animals.  The interesting thing is…I wasn’t at camp last year.  All of the pictures were taken by my husband.

There were pictures of the water slide.  Kids zooming down and climbing back up.  Then there was this picture:

I’m usually the one that says, “Sweetheart, take a picture of that flower, or rock, or interesting scenery.”  He rolls his eyes and takes the picture.  I was pleasantly surprised to see this next picture tucked in between pictures of boys dressed in camo with their faces painted for paintball.

I think maybe I’m rubbing off on him.  He’ll read this and give me some sarcastic retort, I’m sure.  I was glad to see glimpses of the beauty amidst the wet, smelly, camp kids. :)

And, yes, I know that this post is remotely similar to Pioneer Woman’s, but my pictures don’t have any horses, or cows, or witty commentary, or cowgirls, or trucks, or near as many readers.  Plus, the camera is his – not mine – and he knows how to use it much better than I do.  Okay, maybe it’s not similar at all.
