I’ve used this simple type of kids charts for years. In the video I tell you that it’s so I don’t have to nag the kids or be all stressed out. That’s true, but it’s also so I can spend as much time in bed as possible – shh don’t tell.

Balance – Forget about it
Lately it seems like I’ve heard/read a lot of women worrying about balance. Balance the home, balance the family, the blog, the social life, the checkbook, etc. It’s my opinion that mothers of young children should forget about balancing everything.
Maybe my life will be balanced and my house beautiful when my children are older [though I highly doubt it knowing how many things I want to try.] For now, instead of worrying about it, I just prioritize and do.
- My spiritual life should be first priority.
- Next my husband, and
- taking care of my children physically and emotionally.
- Homeschooling is next.
- Housework after that.
- Then I blog
Although sometimes it changes places with housework.
I’m a big fan of lists, routines involving the children, and my timer! What have you found that helps you?
