Best Sneakers I’ve Had My Whole Life

I’ve never been one to spend much on sneakers. Wal-mart, Payless, Kmart pairs did just fine. I remember being little and wearing the toes out of pair after pair. Then as a young adult I can remember years that I didn’t wear sneakers at all. As a mother I occasionally bought sneakers or used hand me down ones. The experience was never great; I just tolerated them as needed. But now – Now I enjoy wearing my sneakers almost every day.

We Wear Shoes When We Homeschool

crocs kids shoesThank you to Crocs for sponsoring this blog post. Please click here to learn more about Crocs’ new Back to School line. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective. All opinions expressed here are my own.

My first year of homeschooling I made my son wear church clothes every morning. I did! I wanted to stay as far away from pajamas as possible. No one would be able to accuse us of homeschooling in pajamas. Now in my third year of homeschool I’ve gotten lazy – plus I have 3 instead of 1 – and I just make sure they are dressed. However I do want them to be dressed to shoes.

Do I Have To Wear Shoes?

A phrase my girls say often -
“Mommy, can I go outside with just my bare feet on?”
feet-top ”Did you find your shoes?”  ”No Mommy, I’m just going to wear my bare feet.”

They’re always prepared for random puddles.
So glad it’s warm out!

Croc Shoes Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed.  A big thank you to everyone who entered!  Winner to be announced soon.

Last spring during a visit with my friend she remarked, “The Crocs are really comfortable.  If they had a nicer style I’d wear them.”  I have good news for you. They do have nicer styles that are just as comfortable!  Just don’t wear socks with them.

Check out these sassari wedges that come in 10 different colors.

Maybe we should call them Croc shoes instead of Crocs. “Crocs” brings one type of shoe to mind while Croc Shoes could signify that they now have different styles that look like real shoes.

Their Malindi leopard flats are tempting.

My brown Malindis are very comfortable. So far I’ve worn them to a friend’s house, church night, library story time, the park, shopping, hanging out laundry, and much more.  They quickly became the shoes that I reach for when I need to slip something on fast. Unlike my sandals, my Crocs are still the same shape as when I first got them.  The tread is good and has let me change directions and chase kids easily.  My feet can feel the texture of the ground yet they put a spring in my step.

Now if I could just keep my 4 year old daughter from wearing them all over the house.
