Thankful for Hope

Thank you Lord …

  1. for my son’s schooling going well, so far.
  2. for a new bracelet in the mail.
  3. for a new bunny to love (You’re nobody till some bunny loves you).
  4. that my husband loves me even when I’m an emotional mess.
  5. for the free books I received through Christian Fiction Blog Alliance.
  6. that I didn’t get the virus my husband and daughters had.
  7. that I can hope in God.

I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Psalm 16:8-10

Thanks Even Though

  1. Thank you Lord for my healthy children even though they drive me crazy sometimes.
  2. Thank you Lord for green grass even though it has to be mowed and trimmed. I sure missed seeing it when we visited AZ.
  3. Thank you Lord for our house even though it hasn’t sold yet. Your ways are not my ways.
  4. Thank you Lord for a place to stay even though it leaks. There are many other good things about it.
  5. Thank you Lord for the boutique even though it’s closing. She helped me start my Jendi Jean Bags.
  6. Thank you Lord for vehicles that run even though gas prices are what they are.
  7. Thank you Lord for Thankful Thursday even though I’m doing it so begrudgingly. It makes me think of the good side of things.

In every thing give thanks:

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

I Thessalonians 5:18

I’m Thankful To Be An American

Thankful Thursday is hosted by Iris at Sting My Heart.

I’m Thankful…

  1. that the final text of the Declaration of Independence was ratified on July 4, 1776.
  2. that John Adams said this about the fourth, “I believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival… it ought to be celebrated by pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other…”
  3. that Congress officially made the Fourth of July a legal holiday in 1941. Another reason to get off work!
  4. that I have friends to celebrate with.
  5. for fireworks and eyes to see them with!
  6. that America is a free nation and I was born free like Paul. [Acts 22:28 And the chief captain answered, With a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free born.]
  7. that God is in control of the leaders of this country. [Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.]

Bless the Lord, O My Soul

Thankful Thursday is hosted by Iris at Sting My Heart.

My list for this week includes, but is not limited to the following:

  1. Two more towel racks in the bathroom. [Can you ever have too many towel racks?]
  2. The fragrance and taste of wild honeysuckle.
  3. A new toaster. [I was getting quite adept at holding the lever down with one hand while pouring milk & cereal with the other hand.]
  4. Books and libraries.
  5. A healthy family. [Back in flu season it seemed like never again would we all be healthy at one time.]
  6. My maidservants otherwise known as Ms. Washer and Ms. Dryer.
  7. For God’s comfort that the righteous will not go hungry. Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

I Found Another Blog Carnival

I found this carnival through Daily Provision. To visit the main site or to join the Mr. Linky just click on the graphic.

Here’s a quote from the Carnival Info page written by Iris:

Why be thankful on Thursdays? We tend to just give thanks on Thanksgiving; why not share your blessings on a weekly basis with us? You don’t have to participate every week; do it as often as you can. The road of life is hard, let us count our blessings as we travel this road…

Today I’m Thankful For…

  1. air conditioning!
  2. my children and for the chance to ship them to Grandma’s for several hours.
  3. paper plates. ‘Nough said.
  4. a good God who hears my prayers and knows what is best for me.
  5. phone calls from my hubby.
  6. ring bologna and sharp cheddar cheese.
  7. Blog friends and Blog fun.

Know ye that the LORD he is God:
it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the LORD is good;
his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.
Psalm 100:3-5 KJV
