A scattered post…
- Our Saturday night get together this week had even more kids. Thirteen adults and sixteen kids from age 7 to 1 month old. We let the kids have one big chalkboard while the adults used the other for a rousing game of Pictionary. Why do the guys always win? Oh, that’s right, we girls let them win so we don’t have miserable, ego deflated men to take home.
- There have been no more big messes to clean up – Praise the Lord! We are still fighting the diarrhea. I miss eating fruit. We’re quite the fruity family. 😉 We usually have a little bit of some kind of fruit every day. I’m glad that now the kids can at least understand when I tell them they can’t eat it until they are better.
- I’m dreamily remembering those sick days before kids. You know, the ones where you can stay in bed because you don’t feel good. Then just rest and recuperate. Doesn’t work with 3 kids!
- It was snowing as we came home from church last night and our 3 year old girl said, “It’s almost Christmas!” Big, beautiful fluffy flakes drifted down and stayed on the ground until this morning. Green leaves on our tree and snow on our ground. Now, the kids are begging to go outside. They want snowsuits, hats, socks, boots, mittens, earmuffs, scarfs, coats, etc; and I just want to go back to bed!
